Su Embroidery Studio
Your Gateway to Timeless Chinese Silk Embroidery Art
At Su Embroidery Studio, our journey began in the picturesque city of Suzhou, China in 2004. From the establishment of our studio, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to preserving the ancient Chinese silk embroidery art by creating collectible silk embroidery paintings that are exquisitely hand embroidered with real natural mulberry silk threads. Our passion for this age-old art form has guided us towards the creation of silk embroidery masterpieces that cater to the most discerning tastes of high-end markets worldwide.
Mao Chunhua, Founder at Su Embroidery Studio
The story of Su Embroidery Studio is closely linked with the focus and consistent dedication from our founder, Mao Chunhua. Born and raised in Suzhou, Chunhua’s connection with the art of silk embroidery dates back to his childhood. Growing up in an embroidery village nestled in the countryside of Suzhou City, he was immersed in this ancient silk art from a young age. As a budding teenager, he displayed an astonishing mastery of every facet of silk embroidery, earning him the status of an expert in this ancient silk art form.

Upon graduating from a teachers' college, Chunhua could have pursued a career as an educator. However, the allure of ancient silk art was too powerful to resist. In 2004, he took the momentous step of founding Su Embroidery Studio, located just 40-minute drive from Suzhou City. With his reputation as an expert in silk embroidery, Chunhua assembled a team of talented silk embroidery artists from the surrounding countryside to join him in this remarkable journey.
